Elementary School

I could only find two photos from elementary school. The first is a class photo from Meadowvale Elementary School, 1972-73, 2nd Grade. Meadowvale Elementary School is in Havre de Grace, Maryland. When I see a picture like this, I always wonder how many are still around, how many achieved greatness, how many wound up in prison, that sort of thing. I assume most, myself included, managed to scale the heights of mediocrity.  If Mrs. Pelletier was about thirty here, she’d be in her late sixties now.

I wonder how much the demographics have changed. I suspect a few more Latino faces would be present in a current photo. Its hard to say; the school district web site makes no mention.

I believe this is my 4th grade photograph, which would have put me at Dublin Elementary School, in Dublin, Maryland.

Unfortunately, this picture had faded quite a bit and I was unable to get a true color balance. Referencing the aging process, in these photos and earlier photos, my hair color was light blond. It turned a sandy, brown color in my teens, and now I am starting to see some grey. I’m not a geneticist, but I suspect I get many of my features from my grandfather: blues eyes, similar nose, and mouth, as far as I can tell. If that holds true, while my hair may be white later on, I should still have plenty of it.
